Judicial sales are held after the upset sale for any properties not sold. In August a list of delinquent properties is advertised in The Daily Item and The Snyder County Times papers. The sale is held annually, on the first Wednesday after the second Monday of September. The upset sale is the first sale at which a delinquent taxpayer’s property may be sold. If you wish to purchase property from any of our sales it is recommended you first consult an attorney for a title search. If you need your property reviewed for changes, please contact our office. If you are interested in filing for a tax exemption, please contact our office. If you are interested in filing an annual appeal of your assessed value, please contact our office. All appeals must be heard and acted upon by October 31 of each year. In addition, an appeal may be filed within 40 days of any assessment change notice issued by this office after a change has occurred to a property effectively changing its market value. This is a fee based service at $1.10 per minute.Īppeals may be filed any year on or before September 1, with the result effective beginning with the subsequent tax year.
